Students, researchers, internships

The museum is a place for discovery and aesthetic feeling, but is also a place of learning and study, open, under certain conditions, to trainees and research students.

Work placements
The museum can accept trainees as part of their studies, in accordance with the regulations fixed by the City of Paris and the Paris Musées public institution. The response to requests for work placements is nevertheless limited by material reception conditions and the possibilities of supervision by the conservation team.
Research students
As part of the development of relationships between the museum and the academic world, the Maison de Victor Hugo can accept students conducting research by giving them access to documentary collections, the archives and the works in the collections. Specific study projects may be established jointly with the students (Masters, doctorate), the professors and the museum.
