Guided tours only

All visits to Hauteville House are conducted by a museum guide, in French or English, in groups of up to 10 people and lasting approximately one hour.

Hauteville House is located on the hillside behind St Peter Port. The house was built at the end of the 18th century over five levels. There are stairs in all parts of the house, from the front doorstep to the top floor, where Victor Hugo’s writing room and bedroom are located. The garden is also accessible from the street, through a passage under the house with stairs at both ends.
